Creativity in place of value added
At the end of May our firm’s premises changed its appearance and used somewhat differently.
What changed: milling robots, heating furnaces and thermoforming machines stood still for hours but it was nevertheless clearly louder (but not noisy). About 80 men and women worked there and about 200 watched at that time – normally about 20 people work there, and thank goodness without onlookers.
What remained unchanged: work was undertaken creatively and with precision. What was created and admired was the result of experience, hard work and perfect interplay of the most individual performances. The result was met with assent and enthusiasm.
The explanation: there where creativity is undertaken in everyday life, Joseph Haydn’s ‘The Creation’ was performed and the Paul Hofhaimer Days opened under the motto ÜBER:LEBEN (SUR:VIVAL) . The “Festival for Ancient Music & New Sounds” is an initiative of DAS ZENTRUM (www.daszentrum.at ) cultural circle. Our workshops offered the organisers, the three soloists, the gigantic choir and the mighty Hofhaimer Orchestra excellent acoustics and gave the enthusiastic audience a rare but impressive backdrop.
